We have one site down in downtown Espanola affecting 7 customers. We are investigating now. It appears likely to be a power issue.
It appears that just after 11am today, October 6th, a piece of equipment on one of our towers had an issue of some kind. It is still operating but customers are not staying connected to it.
We are working with the manufacturer to troubleshoot the issue. In the meantime we are working on backup methods to bring affected customers back online.
A recent firmware update to some of our equipment serving Espanola and Alcalde is causing intermittent connection issues, we are downgrading now to address this issue. It will result in brief outages of 1-5 minutes around 5:20PM on October 1st.
Tomorrow morning, Tuesday September 23rd at around 4:00 AM, we will be performing some power-related maintenance which will cause a brief interruption in service. This should be completed before 5:30 AM.
Later in the morning, clients connected in the northern part of Alcalde will experience a brief outage as we upgrade some networking equipment on one of the towers in the area. The outage will last approximately 15 minutes between 9:30AM and 11:00 AM.
Thanks for your understanding!
We are upgrading some equipment as the Las Lomas apartments today, which will result in outages for some customers as equipment is swapped out. If you see guys on the roof of the office, they’re still working on it.
As of approximately 3PM, both of our fiber connections have been damaged and are inoperable. Crews are onsite and working on repairs. The projected ETR is currently 24:00/00:00 tonight.

Due to damage to the phone lines coming to our office, all our 505-852-51** numbers, including our desk lines are down.
Our 844-544-9499 main line, as well as Brock’s line at 575-613-1133, and Steve’s line at 575-613-7711, are still operational.
We have a ticket open with the phone company and are awaiting updates.
Due to a compatibility issue with our management software we are forced to upgrade routers across the network today. This will result in brief outages as they reboot. We apologize and are working with our vendors to make sure this sort of surprise doesn’t happen again.
We and others are seeing serious issues with google and other major service providers across the internet right now, see https://downdetector.com/
This is most likely a BGP problem with a major backbone provider, we have no control over it. We are trying to find out what may have failed and where.
As of about 5pm on Sunday, May 26th, a widespread power outage appears to be affecting many of our customers and one of our tower sites in downtown Espanola.
Due to frequent power outages we have been upgrading our tower sites with much larger backup battery banks. There are still a few yet to be upgraded, and they may drop off the outage goes too much longer. We will continue upgrading the remaining sites to avoid this during future power outages.
It appears the widespread power outage affecting Espanola and Pojoaque has been resolved by Jemez co-op and service has been restored throughout our network.
We are currently seeing what looks like a power outage through most of Espanola that is affecting our connections with REDI Net. Service should return as soon as power is restored.
As part of our commitment to delivering the best service we can, we are planning some upgrades for two towers early next week.
Monday 22 April, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Some clients in Espanola connected to the HS tower will experience a brief outage as we swap an access point.

Some time around 02:00 on Feb 15th we were hit with a distributed denial of service attack, which completely saturated both of our connections to the outside world at 1.5Gbps aggregate traffic. We are working with our upstream providers to prevent further issues if this should happen again.
Five years ago I put up our first tower in Velarde, after testing the equipment for a few months on my deck. This photo was taken as I finished setting it up.
We've come a long way since then. Fewer 3am outages and more customers. At the heart of this business is my desire for something better than what the local telco had to offer. I take joy in seeing people finally able to stream movies, to video chat with their grandkids, to work from home like I was trying to do before.
To all of our customers, I think about you every day. Downtime pains me emotionally. I want the best service we can afford to provide to all of you. Thank you for your ongoing business. We are doing our level best to give you fast, reliable, and affordable internet service.
Power has been restored and all of REDI Net's devices are back online. Thank you for your patience!
